How to get started with Backyard Schoolhouse as a Charter School family:

• Our most popular charter school products are our secular curriculums and Subscription boxes.

• Our secular curriculums cover at least a full school year of material.

• Subscription boxes are on a month-to-month bases with subscribe & save options. They offer great supplemental and enrichment opportunities with reading, writing, science and more!

How can I view the Charter School Curriculums for my child's Grade Level?

• Visit our "Grade Level" menu and click on the level your child falls under. Grade levels are listed in the parenthesis.  

• Once there, click on "Shop [level] Resources".  You'll see all our available grade - appropriate products there.

• Click on a product to learn more. In the description of each item you will find tags to help you quickly identify items by categories of themes, interests, and needs.

How can I view the Charter School Subscription boxes?

• Visit our "Subscription boxes" page, then select a box that interests you. 

• Click on a box image to read the descriptions given for each box as well as identify any grade-level specific options. 

• From there you can decide which one best suits your child. 

Do you have products that meet the criteria for Charter School use?

Yes, we have approved secular products available for purchase that are currently being used by various Charter Schools.

If Backyard Schoolhouse IS NOT on the list of approved curriculum vendors at our Charter School, how do we add you?

To add Backyard Schoolhouse to your Charter School’s list of approved vendors, talk to the person in charge of ordering curriculum, ask them to send us a request, and we will submit the necessary form(s). They can contact us at info@backyardschoolhouse.org.

Your company IS on the list of approved curriculum vendors at our Charter School. How do we order your products?

If your Charter School has specific instructions for ordering, please follow those.  If not, follow the steps below:

• First, you should check to see what is available by going to our website, backyardschoolhouse.org, and looking at the grade-level curriculums. From the website’s Home Page, visit our "Grade Level" menu and click on the level your child falls under. Specific grades are listed in the parenthesis.  Once there, click on "Shop [level] Resources".  You'll see all our available grade - appropriate products there.  You can see descriptions of the individual items, by pressing on the picture of the item. Your child’s teacher can assist with selection.

• If you are only interested in subscription boxes, from our homepage select “Subscription Boxes”, then select a box that interests you. You can read the descriptions given for each box as well as identify any grade-level specific options. Then, with your teacher’s assistance, decide which one best suits your child. 

• After making your selection(s), go see the person at your Charter School who is responsible for ordering curriculum and show them what you have chosen.

• They will place the order directly with us.

Are Backyard Schoolhouse books consumable?

Yes, most of our books are consumable, with the exception of Teacher Manuals. It is at your schools discretion whether to count the Teacher Manuals as consumable or not.
